The Virginia Beach Sports Center is officially completed and we are excited to share that opening day (yesterday, October 1) was an overarching success! Construction of the $68 million, 285,000 sq. ft. sports center began in Aug. 2018.
- The sports tournament venue features 12 basketball courts convertible to 24 volleyball courts;
- A world-class hydraulically banked track and seating for more than 5,000 fans;
- The VBSC is the only venue of its kind on the East Coast not on a college or university campus!
The CVB’s sports marketing team continues to stay busy selling, marketing, and cultivating relationships that will ultimately make the Sports Center one of the most prized tournament venues in the country. We will continue to keep you updated and look forward to your visit to the new Sports Center soon!
