Dear Valued Tourism Industry Partners,

September is an exciting month in Virginia Beach. Our longtime friends of the Mid-Atlantic Shrine Association (MASA) are here for their annual convention. You can feel the positive energy all around as we welcome this wonderful group back for the 22nd year!  Known for their generosity, charitable work and love of fun, the much-anticipated Shriner parade kicks off tomorrow morning, Sept. 10, at 9:30 a.m. on 9th Street and Atlantic Ave. Bring the whole family out for this fun, free event.

Virginia Beach Selected To Host 2023 Futsal National Championships - My team and I are excited to share that the U.S. Youth Soccer committee released a press release announcing Virginia Beach as the host destination for the 2023 Futsal National Championships! The first-ever of its kind and hosted in collaboration with United Futsal, the Championships will be held February 24-26, 2023, at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Virginia Beach Sports Marketing’s Interim Director Dani Timm was quoted in the press release: “We look forward to rolling out the red carpet for the athletes, coaches, and spectators during the championships. We hope that everyone visiting during the championship week gets an opportunity to enjoy our beautiful beaches, world-renowned boardwalk, incredible dining, and second-to-none hospitality.” This event is major news for the youth soccer community as well as the City of Virginia Beach as we continue to show that our destination is one of the best in the country to host many different sporting events. A special thanks to our colleagues at Eastern Sports Management for being such great partners and helping lead the charge with making this event possible. Congratulations to the organization on 48 wonderful years and thank you for all you do for the Virginia Beach community.

Registration is Now Open for Free Simpleview Training - The Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to offer FREE "Partner Pipeline" training for our industry partners! Whether you need a refresher, you have new staff or you want to learn how to maximize your opportunities, you will want to attend this training.

The Partner Pipeline is an important online marketing and business opportunity platform currently used for collaboration between the Virginia Beach CVB and its partners in the hospitality industry. It was created with your business success in mind as, together, we continue to position Virginia Beach as a first-class, year-round travel destination. Conducted by professional trainers from the program developer, Simpleview, the training modules will be separated apart by business-type for our accommodation partners and our restaurant, retail, and attraction partners.

The training session will provide an overview of the system, to include but not limited to, managing your personal page, best practices in your listing, receiving, and responding to leads, accessing reports, understanding opportunities, and how to collaborate with the CVB, and more!

Bringing a laptop is encouraged, but not required. You and your staff do not want to miss this opportunity to manage and showcase your business.
