Experience the convergence of surf and art at the 20th annual Coastal Edge Steel Pier Classic & Surf Art Expoon May 26–29. Kick off the summer with the Salute to Summer festival, celebrating the military through music. The festival runs May 26–28.

Jackalope Fest comes to Virginia Beach June 2–4, with skateboarding, bouldering and other action-fueled activities.
July
Grab the family and check out the Beach Blanket Film Festival. Held July 18–22, this festival showcases family movies under the stars.
August
The world’s longest-running surf competition makes a splash on Virginia Beach. The 61st annual East Coast Surfing Championship takes place Aug. 20–27.

The 49th annual Virginia Beach Neptune Festival weekend takes place Sept. 29–Oct. 1. This popular festival boasts dozens of events, spanning 30 blocks, throughout the weekend.
