We are keeping this week’s update short, but full of good news!
The $68 million, 285,000 sq. ft. Virginia Beach Sports Center is nearing completion and we are excited to share that it will indeed open this fall! The sports tournament venue features 12 basketball courts convertible to 24 volleyball courts; a world-class hydraulically banked track and seating for more than 5,000 fans. The CVB’s sports marketing team is busy selling, marketing, and cultivating relationships that will ultimately make the Sports Center one of the most prized tournament venues in the country. Currently, the CVB sports team and our operating partners at Eastern Sports Management, are onboarding all of the building systems and preparing for the opening. Additionally, the CVB sports team is looking forward to moving into their new office suite on the mezzanine level of the facility. We will keep you updated on further developments, and look forward to your visit to the new Sports Center soon!
