March 11, 2022
Dear Valued Tourism Industry Partners,
I hope everyone is looking forward to finally springing forward this weekend as much as I am! In other good news, very encouraging data on domestic traveler sentiment has just been released. According to the U.S. Travel Association (USTA), more than eight in 10 (82%) American travelers are excited to travel in the next 12 months—the highest level since the start of the pandemic. That’s terrific news for a destination that is within a day’s drive of two-thirds of the U.S. population! From a meetings’ perspective, things are really looking up as nearly nine in 10 U.S. companies are planning business travel in the next 90 days. I see the light and hope all of you are encouraged as well.
As we head into the middle of March, we wanted to share a handful of timely industry updates and announcements.
