As we gear up for an exciting July 4th weekend, I wanted to take a minute to wish you and yours a Happy Independence Day! I hope you are able to create amazing family memories while honoring the birth of our great country. 

July Brings Families, Fun & Festivities Summer is underway, and Virginia Beach’s family-friendly fun is in full swing! July is a perfect time to warm up to some of our coastal destination’s best events, attractions and dining while celebrating some of July’s most festive holidays. CBDA’s SummerFest 2022 Offers Free Performances At Town Center - The Central Business District Association proudly announces the Fountain Plaza will come alive this summer with a free concert series from local artists, specialty guest acts and more. Enjoy live music on the plaza each night from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., beginning Friday, July 1. Read the official press release HERE. 
 
Meetings & Conventions Continue to Work Hard to “Bring It To The Beach” The M & C Team has been “pounding the pavement” this past week with travel and site visits. Amy Overstreet had a very successful site visit with a citywide Army group that looks promising for THIS fall! Dee Mittman was attending Meeting Planners International’s 50th Anniversary of World Education Conference and had 15 appointments with corporate accounts in San Francisco. Scott Warren left for New Orleans to entice more Military Reunions to “Bring it to the Beach” and celebrate their service here in our military town. And Jamie Mitchell was in Richmond at a special event with the Virginia Society of Association Executives at the Drive Shack.
