Dear Valued Tourism Industry Partners,

While many have long known Virginia Beach is a year-round gem, it’s always refreshing to see press coverage focusing on how brightly we really shine during the shoulder season. The timing couldn’t be better for two very positive articles on our winter offerings and I’m pleased to share them with you today.

“A Winter Getaway to Virginia Beach,” recently published by AAA Tidewater, was written by freelance journalist Betsy Abraham and highlights our coastal vibe while mentioning many partner businesses who were contacted by Abraham to contribute to the piece. Read more here

“These Classic U.S. Summer Destinations Are Worth Rediscovering This Winter” is featured in this month’s Men’s Journal. An excerpt:  “The U.S. east coast is a bounty of beauty—with hundreds of miles of pristine shoreline, picturesque mountain ranges, and vast spaces of greenery to explore. July crowds know all about these places. But in the chillier, quieter off-season months of winter, these summer-geared towns, parklands, and offshore islands offer a completely different vibe for visitors venturing onto their frost-dusted slopes and shores.”  Want to know what they said about Virginia Beach?
