Dear Valued Tourism Partners:

August is definitely here! I hope everyone is doing their best to stay cool and hydrated as the temperatures rise.

Everyone is encouraged to let their voices be heard about the future of our region. The Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization is updating the area’s Long-Range Transportation Plan to the horizon year 2050. Take a few minutes to share your thoughts on factors that can change the way the region develops, and how we travel to places we live, work, and play. Get all the details and take the survey here. Please submit responses by Aug. 15.

We are thrilled with recent press coverage that shows we remain a family favorite!

  • Spring media visit journalist Molly O’Brien featured Virginia Beach family-friendly activities in “The best vacation destination to visit in every state for a greener local getaway” in Insider
  • Family Destinations Guide included Virginia Beach in “Virginia Itinerary: A Friendly Guide To Exploring The Best of The State”
