Dear Valued Tourism Industry Partners,
The 50th run of the Shamrock Marathon is finally here and we couldn’t be more excited. Race packet pickup begins this afternoon at the Fitness Expo, located at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. The expo also includes the official Shamrock retail store and a great collection of sports-minded vendors. Whether you’re running, walking or just cheering on race participants, we hope to see you out there decked out in all the green you can find.

Final Week to Submit Nominations for National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW)
There is only one more week to submit nominations for our 2022 NTTW “hospitality heroes” awards! Nominations close on Friday, March 25. Submit your nominations here and watch for further details about the May 5 award ceremony soon!
Town Center Restaurant Week 2022
Starting Monday, our inland restaurant community invites everyone to join them for Town Center Restaurant Week through Sunday, March 27. Locals and visitors alike are encouraged to experience some of the area’s most highly sought eateries. Choose from specially-priced Chef’s selections, prix fixe menus for lunch and dinner, and dessert specials. For participating restaurants, menus and more, click here.
New Festival Announced for 2023
I’m excited to share that we have a new festival on the books! Save the dates of June 2 - 4, 2023 for our inaugural JACKALOPE FEST. This vibrant three-day festival is renowned for its unique atmosphere and the quality of the athletes competing in high adrenaline action sports such as skateboarding, bouldering, break dancing and BASE jumping. JACKALOPE is the ultimate gathering of Canada's action sport communities, bringing together top athletes and professionals in the featured sports as well as enthusiasts and the curious. This thrilling festival hosts world-class competitions and demonstrations by world-renowned skateboarders, BASE jumpers, breakdancers and boulderers. See what it’s all about right here!
